Sharing My Favorite Read Giveaway Hop was organized by
Hello,
This is my very first time I join a giveaway hop! I'm so excited, and yet anxious at the same time. I really hope I'm doing it right!
Let's talk about wicked. I became familiar with the word 'wicked' after I read some historical romances, which was in late 2009. Somehow I like the sound, wicked, and the meaning in a naughty playfully way. That's why I fell quite easily for heroes who have this character, even if it's meant to shown only to his lover, or certain people like best friend(s) or family member(s). You know that some people look very hard and cool (or cold), strict, like there's no time to play around. Mostly those characters are Dukes, a very tough leader, or someone who has been through tough times that he becomes hardened by his experiences.
From my personal experience, some people who's not close enough to me, like my friend's friends, or clients, lecturers, or distant family, thought that I am a very quiet person, or a very nice girl who's innocent enough that they sometimes excuse themselves if they talked about sex or used foul language. Well, I AM pretty shy and/or quiet to new people, or to those I'm not comfortable with. But those who knew me better..., well, let's just say that one of my best friend often got annoyed when he tried, hard, to explain to his friends or our colleagues that I'm not exactly who I showed them to be. A nice, innocent, quiet, shy person. And it always make me laugh when they didn't believe him.
So, it's more like there's-more-than-meet-the-eyes thing. Or more like there's a side you don't want to share to the world. Aren't we all have our own secrets?
But, hey, I also don't mind if it's the other way around, like characters who's known to be wicked, rake, or very outgoing person, but inside he cares deeply about things that people think he'd never care about. I love to get to see a glimpse of the other side of certain people, or when I get the privilege to know that side. ;)
So, I'd like to share my favorite heroes from books (mostly historical romance and had been published years ago I think), that I considered have wicked characters in them. I actually had more than these, but right now, all I could think of are these.
And here's some recommendations from some friends:
