2013 Reading Plan

Happy New Year! It's time for new challenge from Goodreads.
Di tahun 2011, saya mematok 135 buku, dan berhasil menyelesaikan 136 buku. Mungkin karena waktu itu saya banyak menganggur, baru mulai kuliah di bulan September.
Tahun 2012, at first saya mematok 135 juga. Tapi apa daya saya agak keteteran dan terpaksa menurunkan target menjadi 130 buku. Kenyataan bahwa saya cuma turun 5 buku padahal saya udah mulai menjalani kuliah lengkap dengan tugas-tugasnya yang seabrek, it's because I was totally craze about reading Harlequin. Mungkin karena saya jenuh sama Historical Romance kali ya. Jadi meskipun sebetulnya novel-novel Harlequin itu isinya klise, tapi saya menikmati. Benar-benar bacaan ringan yang nggak pake mikir. *kalo saya butuh bacaan yang pake mikir, cukup buka textbook bahan kuliah. :D

So, di tahun 2013 ini, I set my goals to 125 books!
Dan sepertinya saya harus membuat rencana dan jadwal membaca supaya saya fokus dan tahu buku apa yang harus saya baca. Jadi, karena saya punya target baca 125 buku dalam setahun, berarti kurang lebih dalam satu bulan saya harus membaca minimal 10 buku. Dan akan lebih baik kalo saya membaca buku-buku dari tumpukan to-read saya yang kebanyakan terdiri dari buku-buku yang udah saya beli tapi tidak tersentuh. Buku-buku yang wajib saya baca kategorinya akan terbagi kurang lebih seperti ini:

1. the one I bought but not read it yet (more than 200 books!)
2. the one I got as a present/gift from friends
3. the one I won from giveaway
4. the one I requested from Net Galley
5. the one I borrowed from friends

It's kinda a good thing that I have no request to review a book. Sigh...

And to make sure that I discipline myself to read, I join some reading challenges that can help me focus on reducing my TBR lists which, of course, can be combined with other challenges. And I have to make sure that every month I need to read at least 1 or 2 book(s) from the list above. So that'll make 6 books already per month.
Also, starting this year, I add several to-read-in-month-name shelf at Goodreads, like to-read-in-january, to-read-in-february and so on. That way, I know exactly what I want to (and must) read on that month.
Do you think it's a bit ambitious?
What about you? Do you have reading plan this year? Or you just go with the flow? :)

I really wish I don't have to add another book on my TBR list, but that's totally obviously IMPOSSIBLE for there are so many anticipated books in 2013!

So, I really need to focus, but still enjoy the ride, aside that at the first six months I really need to focus on my study so that I could finish it and get my degree.

Reading Romances Challenge 2012

I'm not so sure if I could make it, but it'll help me stay on the line.

As for JANUARY challenge (for more details: check here), there are 3 options, which are:

Read a book that is first of a series, by an author that is “new” to you or a debut novel by an author.

OR

- Read a romance that has a teen as the protagonist.

OR

- Read an Erotic Romance or Erotica.

I made a promise I won't read any Erotic Romance or Erotica, and I know nothing about romance that has a teen as the protagonist. But then I also made a promise not to read any romance in e-book format since I have more than a hundred books at home I haven't yet to read. To look for a first book of a series by an author that's new to me was quiet hard. Good thing I put one of those for-sale books in my room and I caught the sight of one of Jeannine Frost's book. Aha!
That would be it!
